Kay Rodriques works out of her studio in Northern California. Known for her signature miniature gouaches and watercolors, she now also creates large watercolors, many based on her childhood in Jamaica's Blue Mountains. 

 

Drawing/line art plays a major role in the development of Kay's art. Other influences on her work are the the folklore and lesser-known histories of the "New World."

 

In 2012, the artist formed her Silent Hare Studios. Since then she has exhibited in New York and San Francisco auctions and in annual solo shows in Oakland. She is currently at work on two series of drawings and paintings, The Silent Hare Speaks, and Jamaica Gothic.
